Bullet Proof Your Mind – Overcome the Competition – Get the Job

Neil talks about some basic stuff here when it comes to being positive and having the right attitude.  Still, I’m posting it because his article, “The Bullet Proof Mindset,” is a good one.

You need a bullet proof mindset if you are going to succeed in reaching your objective – getting back into the workforce in a meaningful way.  And it is so challenging.  No doubt about.  The competition, the job market, the scarity…sometimes it feels like the world is against…heck with that…you know the world is against…

But it doesn’t matter.  Your only option is to succeed.  And to that; you mind has to be in the right place – and it needs to be bullet proof!

Two of his key points I want to emphasize is feeding your mind and using positive affirmations.  Both go a long way into instilling a sense of can-do belief into your being.  Sometimes belief comes straight from faith.  Feeding your mind and using positive affirmations can begin to add the foundation you need for your belief (faith) to sustain itself.

The Bullet Proof Mindset

By Neil Nemetz

Having the proper mindset is vital to your success, in fact overlooking this will guarantee your failure. Your mindset allows you to have right attitude, belief in yourself, belief in your opportunity, and proper understanding of outside influences. Meaning the right mindset makes you bullet proof. When your mindset is right any negativity that comes your way will have no effect. Your belief will be so strong nothing can stop you.

Belief

Some of you really don’t grasp what you truly have. You should be so excited, so enthusiastic you can barley contain yourself. You have an opportunity in the palm of your hands that will change the lives of everyone who is willing to build it. You can set people free financially and greatly improve the quality of their life. Many times you offer your opportunity “hoping” someone will say Yes.

Posture

Posture is defined as “One’s image or policy as perceived by the public.” If you’re properly presenting your opportunity with the professional tools your company offers and your prospect says no…that’s their loss! Go out with the mindset the prospects are lucky that you took your time to offer them an opportunity to change their lives. When you approach the market place with that attitude you become bullet proof. You replace the fear of rejection, with this mantra of “Some will, some won’t, so what, whose next”?

Attitude

Simply staying positive attracts people to you. If your always upbeat and seem to shrug off adversity people want to know what you’re up to. It’s sad to say but a person who is always positive sticks out especially in a work force of dissatisfied employees.

Feed Your Mind

You must commit yourself to a minimum of 30 minutes a day reading, watching, and li6sten to positive materials. Stop watching the News, as it rarely has anything positive to broadcast, and don’t worry if there is something that important you’ll hear about it. Try a 30 day mental fast. This will be tough but the payoff will be worth it. Cut your TV time for 30 days to 30 minutes a day, and only watch after 10 pm so your TV time cannot interfere with your productive time EVER!

Have positive audio CDs in your car. If you have just a 20 min commute each way to work that’s over three hours a week. So in one year you’re adding over 173 hours of positive, motivational information feeding your mind. It’s been scientifically proven that the human brain can create new neurological pathways in the brain. You literally change the physical way your minds processes information.

Positive Affirmations

Affirmations are statements of fact. They are key to assimilating goals and new habits into your subconscious as if they were already achieved. Create your own statements (goals you desire to achieve) in present tense. Be honest use goals you truly believe you can achieve, and use real emotion and feeling in your statements. Also be specific. Make sure you practice them twice a day. Here is an example;

“I enthusiastically take the right actions and consistently earn $_____ per month”.
